System Requirements

Your store should be running on Magento Community Edition version 2.0.0 or newer.

 


Installation

1. Download archive from download link that is in the e-mail you received upon order completion

2. Unzip the files

3. Place them in the root directory in your magento installation. If you had older versions of the module you may be

4. Prompted to replace existing files. Please do so. You will find few directories that match some of the directories in Magento root

5. Clear cache of your magento installation

6. In Magento Cache page, hit the button labeled Flush Cache Storage

7. If you are logged into the magento Admin, Log out and log back in

8. You should now see a new menu item, Blog in Stores > Configuration, under the Magenest section


Configuration

Browse backend menu Store > Configuration, then filling in information:

Entire configuration tab includes 3 groups: Post View, Post List, Sidebar. 

Post View: admins may set up comments in post with fields as: Comments, Number of Comments, Facebook Application ID.

Comments: consist of 2 options to choose:

Disabled: choose this option if admins want to set no comments

Use Facebook Comments: choose this option if admins want to use Facebook comments     

Number of Comments: allow admins to set up number of posts  

Facebook Application ID: leave blank if admins want to use default App ID or filling in with another Facebook App ID

 

Post List: admins may set up the number of posts per page

 

Sidebar: admins may set information for sidebar with three fields: Tags, Categories, and Recent Posts

Tags: are one of the navigation which contain relevant words used to help your customer to search for relevant information more effective   

Categories: contain and manage posts

Recent Posts: display the recent posts in sidebar   

 

 


Backend

Create new categories

A post management and a navigation tool which helps your customers may find helpful. In backend, go to Magenest > Categories. Click on button Add Categories.

At New Categories page, fill the information for Categories: 

 


Create new posts

Follow the below step by step instruction to create a new post

Go to backend section, click on menu Magenest > Post. Click on button Add Post.

At New Post page, fill the information for Post such as Post Title, Username, etc…

At Information Tab 

This tab allow setting title of blog post, post’s URL key, time & username of post and choosing categories, posts’ status

 

 

At Content Tab

Admin may attach file image, fill information in blank for short content or content, and set tags

 

 

At Advanced Options Tab

Advanced Options allow admin to set information for Meta Data using in Marketing and CEO

 

 

 


Frontend Usage

How the post will be represented to your customers.

Social network sharing buttons: allow users choose visible social network

Tags: allow users click on plus simple to extend choosing for social network

Categories: represent the category which contains the post

How to comment

Your customers may comment by using Facebook accounts 


Update

  • When a new update is available, we will provide you with a new package containing our updated extension.
  • You will have to delete the module directory and repeat the installing steps above.
  • Flush the config cache. Your store and newly installed module should be working as expected.
