Introduction

Stripe eWAY Payment Gateway extension for Magento 2 by Magenest is the great tool synchronizing from your Magento 2 store to the Stripe Payment Gateway.

 Your store should be running on Magento 2 Community Edition version 2.1.x.

Set eWAY Account 

You need to have a stripe an eWAY account to use our extension. If you have not any stripe eWAY accounts, you need to create a new account by clicking on the following link: https://stripe.com.

Then, choose a new account to set up

If you had a stripe account, you only sign in to your account.

 

go.eway.io/success/partner-registration. Select the correct Business Type to sign up.

After that, click on Your accounton My account at the top right corner top > Account settings > API Keys to take API Keys.

At back end, admin need to configure some fields to connect between your magento site and the stripe eWAY account. 

FirstlyFirst, admin click on Stores > Configuration > Sales > Payment Methods or click on Eway Payment > Settings 

In addition, admin can set information for

Enabledadmins can choose whether to enable eWAY Payment Gateway. 

Title: admins can name Payment method title displayed on Checkout page. 

Payment Action: admins can choose payment method between Authorize Only and Authorize and Capture. 

New Order Status: there are two status, including Processing and Suspected Fraud. 

Sandbox Mode Enabled: allows using Sandbox to test. 

Email Customer: admins can choose whether to send an email to customer automatically. 

Credit Card Types: admins can choose which credit card types on Checkout page. 

Credit Card Verification: admins can set up Credit Card Verification option for security. 

Payment from Specific Countries: admins can decide to use eWAY Payment method in some countries. 

Title, Payment Action, New Order Status, Sandbox Mode Enabled, Email Customer, Credit Card Types, Credit Card Verification, Payment from Specific Countries, Minimum or Maximum for Order Total: admins can set up min and max for Order Total.  

 

 

When done, please press Save Configuration > Cache Management, your configuration is ready to use.

Then, go to checkout and select Stripe eWAY Credit Card Payment instead of Check/Money order. Store owners can easily choose the payment method between two ways: Authorize Only or Authorize and Capture. 

 

 

After successful payment, at Payments tab of Stripe, the order will be updated corresponding with two options when admin set at Configuration.

Customers' order will be created as usual.

Customers click on this order and the order details screen will be shown. 

Click on Capture now if the customers want to pay.

If the customers want to refund, admin can refund by navigating to Sales > Credit Memos

After the order is refunded, at Payments tab of Stripe, the status order will be updated. 

 

' order will be converted to invoice immediately when they place order.

After that, all transactions will be recorded in both Magento 2 store and eWAY including successful transaction, fail transaction, and refund.

Note that it requires you to use Refund online on backend of Magento 2 store to synchronize refund data to eWAY. 

From Invoices page on backend of Magento 2 store, click on Credit Memo button. The new Memo page will appear as below. Click on the Refund button to have refund online.

Update

  • When a new update is available, we will provide you with a new package containing our updated extension.
  • You will have to delete the module directory and repeat the installing steps above.
  • Flush the config cache. Your store and newly installed module should be working as expected.
