Introduction

Shop by Brand for Magento 2 helps merchants to showcase products by brand, taking advantage of familiar brand names to customers to create more sales. Also, the extension shortens the buying journey by letting customers find out products of their favorite brands easily.

Key Features

For admin

• Show brands on brands page, brand detail page, product list and product detail page
• Create multiple brand groups to classify and manage
• Easily create the new brandbrands, including: brand name, logo, banner,  slogan description and more
• Allow admin to add products when creating the new brand
• Allow admin to add an existing product into Add products to a brand
• Allow admin to show product with the brand name
• The dashboard displays the percentage of brands (using pie chart) that contain the product

System Requirements

 Your  Your store should be running on Magento 2 Community Edition version 2.2.x, 2.3.x or Magento 2 Enterprise Edition version 2.2.x, 2.3.x.

Configuration

On  On the admin sidebar, go to Shop By Brand > Settings to set the general configuration for the extension. On the Configuration page:

General

This section contains the setting for the brands tab on the main menu and product pages.

• • Add Brands page Link to Main Menu: Choose Yes to add Brands tab on the main menu.
  • Menu Title: Enter the name of the brands tab on the main menu. The default title "Brands" will be shown if this field is left blank.
  • Display brand icons in product listing: Choose Yes to display the brand icon on each product on product listing page.
  • Show brands in product page: Select a layout for the brand information on product detail page. There are four options: No, Brand name only, Icon only, Brand name and icon.

Brands Page 

In this section, admin can set the layout for the brands list page.

• • Brand Tittle Of The Search Box: Set the title for the brand-search box.
  • Title Color: Set color for the search box title.
  • Background Color: Set color for the brand-search box
  • Display Featured Products: Choose Yes to enable the featured-product list on the brand detail page.
  • Title Featured Products: Enter the title displayed for featured-product section.
  • Display Featured Brands: Choose Yes to display the most-popular-brand list on Brands page.
  • Display Mode: Select the layout for the brands on featured brands list. There are 2 options: Icon only and Brand name and icon.
  • Title of Featured BrandBrands: Enter the title of the popular-brand sectionfor the featured brands list.
  • Display Brands List: Choose Yes to show enable the list of all the brands in alphabet orderDisplay Total Brand's Product: Choose Yes to add the number of products on each brand logo.
  • Title Of Brand List Brand: Set Enter the title for all-brand sectionlist.Background Color
  • Show Product Quantity Of Each Brand: Select the color for the Brands page on the color palette. 
  • Color Brand Title: Set the color for the Brand page title.

Product Detail

This part is the setting for brands layout on product detail page.

 Display mode: there are 4 options to display brands on the product detail page.

• • No: Disable the brand on product detail page.
  • Show brand name.
  • Show brand icon.
  • Show brand name and icon.

Product Listing

• Display Icon Brand in Product List: Choose Yes to show brand icon in each product on product listing page.

All Brand Page Setup

This section allows setting for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for brands page.

• • URL Key: URL of Brands page.
  • Title: Title displayed on Brand Page.

• • Choose Yes to display the items quantity on each brand icon on all-brand list.

Brand Detail Page Setup

This section contains the settings for brand detail page.

• • Display Features Products: Choose Yes to enable the featured products list on the brand detail page.
  • Title Of Featured Product: Enter the title for the featured products list.

SEO Settings

This section contains the Search Engine Optimization settings for the brands page.

 After finishing, click on Save button to save the configuration.

Manage Group

Before creating new brands, admin need to create groups to classify the brands.

 On the admin sidebar, go to Shop By Brand > Manage Groups.

 On Brand Groups page, admin can delete or change status of the available groups.

 To create a new group, click on Add New Group button.

 On New Group page, set name and status for the new group. Then click on Save Group button to save.

Manage Brands

 On the admin site bar, go to Shop By Brand > Manage Brands.

 On the Shop By Brands page, admin can edit or delete the available brands on the list grid.

Import brands

• To import brands, click on Import button, go to Import Brands page.

• Click on Download Sample File

•  to download the sample file. Then fill in the file with brands information.

• Click on Choose File button and select the completed file to import.

• Click on Upload button, then the brands will be add to the store.

Create a new brand

 To create a new brand, click on Add New Brand button. On the New Brand page:

 General

• • • Title: Set a name for the new brand.
    • Status: Choose Yes to activate the brand.
    • Add to Featured
  • • Brands: If choose Yes, the brand will be added to the featured brands list.
    • Store Views: Select a store view for the brand.
    • Group: Assign the brand to one or several groups.

Main Functions

Backend 

• Dashboard

Go to Shop By Brand > Dashboard, admin can view the charts reporting the percentage of each brand in store (pie chart) and the total order of the brands in store (bar chart)

In admin panel, go to Shop By Brand > Manage Groups

Click on Add new group button to create a brand attribute.

In the New group page, fill in the brand attribute title and choose Enable.

Then click on Save Group to create the new brand attribute.

Go to Shop By Brand > Manage Brands

You can add new brand by clicking on Add New Brand button, or import the brand list by clicking on Import.

1. Add New Brand button

There are 4 tabs: General, Images, Products, Brand Page

 General:

• Title: The brand name
• Status: Enable brand rule
• Featured: Enable showing the featured products of the brand
• Store Views: Choose All Store Views or a certain store that you want. 
• Group: Choose one or more brand groups/attributes

 Images: Admin can upload logo of the brand on Brand Page, and in Brand Detail, as well as Banner displayed on Brand Page

To add the products to the brand, you select the products in the grid table then click on Add Product button.

 Brand Page: You can update the brand information in this tab, including the title, URL, slogan, description, meta keywords, meta description.

2. Import brand list

When clicking on Import button, you will be directed to a page where you can upload the brand list using csv or xml file.

• Add products into the brand

There are 2 ways to add a product into a brand: adding when the brand is created (see in Create a new brand section), adding in each product setting.

To add the products in the product setting, you can go to Products > Catalog then choose the product.

In the product info page, scroll down to Brand Product tab, you can choose the brand from Product Brand.

• Create the widget displays brand list

Go to Content > Pages, choose to edit the page you want to show the widget. For example, here we choose the Home Page.

In the Content section, click on Insert Widget button

• Brand Listing Page

Customers only click on Brand on menu bar to view all of brands or choose a brand from the drop-down list.

The brands can be group by brand attributes (Kid's, Men's, Women's)

The popular brands (Featured brands) will be shown with logos and names.

All of the brands will be displayed in Alphabet order.

When customers buy a product, at this product details page will be shown the brand name if  this product belongs to any brands.

Select products to add to the new brand.

When editing a brand, in case admin want to add more products to the available list, click on Add Product button then select products to add.

Setup the detail page for the brand.

• Page Title: Enter the title in the header html.
• URL Key: Enter the URL Key for marketing purposes.
• Short Description: Insert a short description for the brand. This description will display when users hover on the brand icon.
• Brand Description: Enter a detailed description for the brand using the .

Brands report

On the admin sidebar, go to Shop By Brand > Dashboard. On the dashboard page, admin can view the report about orders by brand.

Main functions on the front-end

View brands page

On the store, customer can view a separate page for all available brands.

There is a search box on the brands page, which allows customers to search for a specific brand.
